Sehistoir (from Benerian, se [people, agglomerative] + histoir [history, historical]) is a historical subadministrative database meant to help record population figures at the most granular subadministrative level available between ~1800-2000AD. It is principally meant as a digitalisation of Populstat's subadministrative figures for use in other CRD databases, although other administrative divisions with population data attached are also included in Sehistoir. Alongside Stadestér, which measures historical urban population, it forms one of two local layers for Velkscala.
For ease of use, Sehistoir was developed as an SVG file with ID names representing each subdivision on a WGS84 Equirectangular format (4320x2160px in equivalent raster terms). Because many of the boundaries were hand-traced, we can only guarantee Sehistoir's precision up to 5-arcminutes. Raster scanline equivalents of the SVG file will also be made available with unique RGBA colour code and object assignments.
